Congratulations!
Mountain
Highs AMayZing, or "May" as we call her, is truly an amazing
horse. May is a 33 1/2" 1996 bay mare that we acquired
as a weanling. We had no idea then that this mare was going
to be a star; we just knew we liked her! Mountain
Highs AMayZing was named 2001 Performance Horse of the Year, 'A' Division!
|
At
her very first AMHR Nationals in 2000, AMayZing won the Reserve National
Championship in Liberty, and received Top Five placings in Halter
and Country Pleasure Driving. She was also awarded Hall of Fame (Lifetime
Achievement) Awards in both Halter and Country Pleasure Driving that
same year. |
|
 |
At
AMHR Nationals in 2001, May was National Champion in Versatility,
and National Champion in Open Mare Pleasure Driving, as well as receiving
other Top Tens. She was awarded her Hall of Fame in Open Pleasure
Driving at the end of the year. May accomplished these feats while
in foal to Rattlesnake Bayou Rowdy Sugar Buck. You could say her colt
is a winner already too - after all, he was there every step of the
way! |
May's
awards at Nationals took place her very first year in the cart - she
began driving in April and started winning in May (how appropriate!).
May is now mainly retired to be a brood mare and if she does show,
it will be a very limited amount. As much as she loves showing, she
deserves to relax at home. May absolutely loves her babies. So far
the judges have too!! |

On March 23rd, 2002, May foaled a beautiful refined bay colt, Magic Mist AMayZingly Rowdy, who promptly won our club's year-end Futurity class. May is also the dam of Magic Mist Top Secret, a gorgeous 1999 bay minimal pinto mare who earned her own Hall of Fame Award in Halter in 2003. Those first two foals earned May a Superior Dam Award by 2005 when "Rowdy" earned his own Halter Hall of Fame Award. Her third foal, Magic Mist All Revved Up, sired three beautiful tiny fillies before he was sold, one of which we have retained as a show horse and future broodmare. The rest of May's foals are rather young and have yet to be shown, but we have high expectations for them. May epitomizes the beauty, athleticism, versatility, and "heart" that we work to produce here at Magic Mist Miniatures. See May's
pedigree for breeding information. |

Magic
Mist May's Mom (AMHR)
Spring Valley's Dawn Glow (AMHA)
AMHA/AMHR 1984 33 1/2" |
|
 |
We aquired May's Mom from a dispersal sale; she was destined
to go to auction and we couldn't bear to see that happen. She is the
dam to our wonderful Mountain High's AMayZing and it is easy to see
where AMayZing gets her big beautiful eyes from, along with that show-off
trot and sensitive temperament. May's Mom was bred before we got her,
so we are expecting a foal this spring from her, which will belong
to our friend Michael George who was instrumental in helping us get
May's Mom here to her "forever home" with us. See May's
pedigree for breeding information. |

Magic
Mist Top Secret
AMHA/AMHR 1999 34" |
|
|
Out of Mountain High's AMayZing, by Happyland's Topper. Secret
won our club's Futurity as a weanling, then got a few years off due
to sand colic surgery. She went back on the show string in 2003 and
really "wowed" the judges. She received unanimous Grands
in Halter under all four judges at her first show of the season, and
went on to receive her Hall of Fame in Halter. She was immediately
retired from showing after that because she was in foal to Eldorado's
Bonsai Cast In Bronze for a March 2004 delivery of Magic Mist Dark
Secret--see her on our Past Foals page. |
Magic Mist
AMayZingly Rowdy
AMHA/AMHR 2002 |
|
|
 |
Out of
Mountain High's AMayZing, and by Rattlesnake Bayou Rowdy Sugar Buck
(National Champion). This colt looks, moves, and acts just like
his dam, which is exactly what I was hoping for with this cross.
Rowdy was bred to "Mirage" and was just gelded on June
28th, 2004. We are hoping that Mirage will have Rowdy's foal next
year. Rowdy will keep showing now, as a gelding. See his show results from the 2004 show schedule. Also, see Rowdy's
page for more info and pics. |
SOLD! Magic
Mist All Revved Up
AMHA/AMHR born April 18, 2004 |
|
 |
Out of multiple National Champion, and AMHR Performance Horse
of the Year, Mountain Highs AMayZing,
and by the great stallion RSB Rowdy Sugar Buck, this tiny golden buckskin
colt is sure to be a winner. We had planned to keep "Rev"
as a future herd sire, but since we are concentrating on breeding
appaloosas and have too many stallions already, we are reluctantly
offering him for sale. Rev is very small, refined, and correct, with
just 6" cannon bones. He has a light golden buckskin color that
is very striking. Rev's full brother, Magic
Mist Amayzingly Rowdy, is currently the AMHR National Area 8 junior
champion. See Rev's page for more pictures.

Out of Mountain Highs AMayZing and by Mountain Highs Shoot

was 17" at birth but looks smaller. She has the appy sclera,
mottling, striped hoof (yes just one so far!) and one bold black spot
on her ride side. We are thrilled with this, our first cross of the
"AMayZing" line, and appaloosa. See Appsolute's
page for more info and pics. |

Out of Mountain Highs AMayZing, and by Windy Woods Speckled Ice, this little buckskin pinto colt is spectacular! Born at 297 days gestation, but he hasn't let that slow him down. He's healthy and active. Very typey, with gorgeous head and neck, refined, and has a wonderful topline and tailset. This colt should be an awesome show horse. He's very sociable, he whinnies and comes running when he sees someone, he just loves attention! He will be offered for sale, we are just waiting a bit before pricng him, though he will be reasonably priced and we will also offer show incentives. We are also offering free delivery to AMHR Nationals in Tulsa in September! If you are looking for a born-to-show show horse, don't let this little colt pass you by! See Charis' page for more info and pics. |
